Fuego ´09


Fuego ´09 is the new Contrast “Off Road” car for large scale Off Road 1/5TH RC Racing.
 
The Contrast Fuego is a new radical, resistant and fast race car, designed for extreme competition, but also employs mechanical simplicity. Contrast has created an efficient and light race car but ensuring the most important thing is retained in off road racing:  DURABILITY.
 
The Fuego combines lightness and resistance thanks to a very clever “efforts chain”. According to the theory of the chain “chain is as weak or as hard has the weakest of its links”.
 
Following this theory Contrast have made the resistance of all Fuego main components equal in strength to eliminate “weak points” and also avoid “excessively resistant points” that provoke a weight excess and destabilize the balance and durability on the track and in the air when it lands from jumps.
 
Mechanical simplicity is as important as resistance and Contrast are proud of their car design, which allows disassembly of the car by modules:-
 
1) Front axle and radio system
2) Rear axle, engine and transmission
3) Chassis and supports
 
Modular disassembly of the car is done without upsetting any of the main set up geometry of the car, which allows quick crash repairs and maintenance trackside, and it also makes the annoying cleaning process much easier after a competition.
 
New long shock absorbers and suspension geometry, mobile ballasts, the maximum car width allowed by BRCA / EFRA regulations and extra low gravity centre, tuned engine, adjustable clutch, front hydraulic brakes, ensures the Contrast Fuego ´09 gives you everything to be fast… the fastest one.

CHASSIS

SUSPENSION

  • Suspension geometries improved using advanced dynamic simulation software.
  • Wide range of shock absorbers' inclinations.

  • Long suspension A-arms with 10x6 and 10x7 mm section , very light and resistant.
  • Reduced dimensions and weight in uprights and bearings, reducing unsprung mass.

  • Original adjustment system for rear toe-in/toe-out that do not modifies neither length between axles nor camber.
  • Contrast hydraulic brakes also fitting with FG/Lauterbacher/Crojet. Open hydraulic system without braking variations. Carbon fibre or steel brake discs interchangeable for different braking. Hydraulic mini-pump.
  • Wheels with standard FG/Harm joint .
